In Deuteronomy 6, we are given our historic confession of faith in verses 4-6. It states:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.”

That is the great truth God wants all of his people to know. God wants Israel to know He is one, He is the Lord, and He is to be loved with all of our being. However, we must ask an essential question about God’s ultimate declaration. How do we tell everyone about this message? How can this monumental truth sustain itself throughout the ages? It is obvious such a precious revelation should not be kept a secret. Ironically, God does not hire a marketing firm or utilize his universal platform of nature as a billboard for this revelatory slogan. Instead, God gives the program by which he expects His glory and fame to spread in verses 7-9.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Did you catch that? God’s plan for the spread of his glory starts at home. God builds strong families for the sake of His glory being known to the nations. All of Israel was called to make disciples of the next generation and mark their homes with the spiritual truth that God reigns supreme in our hearts and in our homes.

Here at the Shiloh Church, we strive to minister to the whole family because we believe that strong biblical families are the foundations of strong societies, and ultimately strengthen the church for the spread of the Gospel. This February 5-6, 2016, we are dedicating a whole conference to the family.

During this event we will have phenomenal general sessions led by H.B. Charles Jr., Lloyd C. Blue, and K. Edward Copeland. In addition to these general sessions, practical breakout sessions will be available for every member and every life stage.

We will have sessions for children, teens, young adults, young professionals, seniors, singles, and married couples. Joint and separates sessions will be offered for parents as well.
